Pampa Energía S.A. is the largest fully integrated electricity company in Argentina. Through our subsidiaries, we are engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.
At present, Pampa Energía
- generates 7,4% of the total electricity in Argentina. Its current capacity is 2,000 MW, and will be expanded to 2,178 MW during 2010.
- transmits 95% of the total electricity in Argentina, by co-controlling the operation and maintenance of the high voltage transmission network composed of 16,428 km of transmission lines.
- distributes electricity to more than 2,600,000 customers including residential, commercial and corporate customers through Edenor, the largest electricity distributor in Argentina. It covers an area of 4,637 square kilometers that includes the northern region of the City of Buenos Aires and Greater Buenos Aires and has a population of 7 million.
The Company’s shares trade on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange under the ticker “PAMP” and are part of the MERVAL Index with a participation of 14.12% . Pampa has an ADSs (American Depositary Shares) Level I‘s program, which represent 25 shares of common stock each. The Company commenced the trading of its ADSs in the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) on October 9th, 2009.
