By organizing this contest, Pampa Energía seeks to strengthen education in the areas where the Company’s employees live and work by encouraging their commitment to the needs and the institutions of their communities and by intensifying their sense of belonging to the Company through the promotion of activities related to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Specifically, the contest is launched through an invitation for our employees to submit proposals prepared together with some of the corresponding institutions (social organizations, schools, clubs, to name but a few) thus playing an active role in the definition of Pampa Energía’s Social Investment Projects. a coordinator of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities decides which proposal shall win the contest. The projects that obtain the highest number of prizes (up to three projects in each site) shall be funded in due time by the Company.
For the year 2009 Pampa plans to invite its employees to submit proposals to two contests. The issues to be covered by the proposals arose from an analysis of the needs of the communities where we operate and where our employees live and the matters to be dealt with shall be an improvement in the quality of life and the sustainable development of the areas where we carry out our activities as these constitute an inescapable priority for the Company. |
